Ex Works (EXW) describes when a seller makes a product available at a designated location, and the buyer of the product must cover the transport costs.
Free carrier is a trade term dictating that a seller of goods is responsible for the delivery of those goods to a destination specified by the buyer
Carriage Paid To (CPT) means the seller delivers the goods at their expense to a carrier or another person nominated by the seller.
Carriage and insurance paid to (CIP) means that the seller will pay freight and insurance when sending goods to someone they choose at a location they both agreed on
Delivered at Place means that the seller delivers the goods at a named place of destination, but the buyer is responsible for unloading the goods and clearing them through customs.
Delivered at Place Unloaded requires the seller to deliver the goods at the disposal of the buyer after they have been unloaded from the arriving means of transport.
Delivered duty paid (DDP) is where seller assumes all of the responsibility, risk, and costs associated with transporting goods until the buyer receives or transfers them at the destination port.
Free Alongside Ship requires the seller to just clear goods for export and place them alongside the vessel at the named port of departure
Free on Board states the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the port of departure, clearing it for export, and loading the goods on the vessel.
Cost and Freight indicates the seller to cover the ocean freight expenses as well as the transport to the buyers stated destination
Cost Insurance and Freight requires the seller to cover ocean freight and it’s insureance during transit only
